The Awakening places a high value on the following things:

  • The word of God
  • The presence of God
  • The sincere worship of God
  • The next generation
  • The community


The following set of values and their accompanying declarations provides the boundaries for our community. They were given to our leadership through a series of powerful events and cultivated over time to reflect the heart of the Father and the culture of the Kingdom.

Expressing the Nature of God (2 Peter 1:4)

Character Before Charisma (Proverbs 2:7, 10:9, 11:3, 20:7)

Commitment to excellence (Exodus 31:3; Ephesians 3:10)

“We walk in the creative wisdom of God that displays the glory of God.”


Honest, Open Relationships (1 John 1:7)

“I walk in the light so that I might have fellowship with others.”


Believing the Best (Philippians 4:8)

Commitment Over Convenience (Joshua 24:15, Psalm 27:1-3)

“I do not let circumstances dictate my commitment to God and my relationships”

“I am a part of God’s solution for the orphan crisis and the lonely widow.”


No victims (2 Timothy 1:7)

“I am a powerful person who empowers people to be powerful.”

“God loves me 100% right now and striving has no place in me; behold, I am a new creation!”


Truth wrapped in love, preceded by grace (Ephesians 4:15)

Rejoicing in others victories (Psalm 20:5)
