Every year, churches and ministries from the city of Athens come together to serve the Athens community in Christ’s name. This event is an opportunity for Christians to unify as a representation of Christ to the world. This annual joy-filled day brings the heart of Christ and his servants closer to others. The Awakening will be partnering with iServe to be part of this city-wide day of service.

A little more about the event itself: ServeAthens 2021 will be held Saturday, October 23rd from 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Ebenezer Baptist Church West will be the host of the kick-off session, which will be followed by the volunteers being sent out to their various project sites to serve. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all volunteers. Please be sure to register if you plan to attend!

If you desire to serve at The Awakening's site, iServe Ministries, we will need to be on-site at 6:30 AM on Saturday, October 23rd. This particular service site is located in the eastside Kroger parking lot off of College Station. We will not be attending the kick-off session at Ebenezer Baptist. Breakfast will be provided. At iServe, we will be assisting with providing food for those in the community who are in need of it. We will also be offering prayer to those who come. This service site will wrap up around 8:30 AM. If this timeline does not work for you, feel free to sign up for another opportunity to serve the city.
