Travis Gay

Travis and Jessica Gay are Georgia natives who moved back from Fort Worth, Texas to start The Awakening in 2009. They and their 3 children (Josiah, Lydia, and Zuri) enjoy playing outside, movies, swimming, laughing hard, and taking trips to the mountains where Travis and Jessica serenade the kids with classic country music. Travis is a personal trainer and Jessica works for an independent physicians association.

A great date night for Travis and Jessica is dinner at one of Athens' finest local restaurants followed by a UGA Men's basketball game. The Gay's love tacos.

Megan McGahee

Megan McGahee was born in Augusta, GA but has called Athens home since 2011. She is currently enjoying being involved with the administrative processes at The Awakening. If you're trying to find her on a free evening or weekend, she's probably either at a coffee shop reading a book and hanging out, at a park walking her dog, or in the mountains for a hike or backpacking adventure!
